There is a looming scarcity of the kind of Veterinarians who treat and monitor Livestock. Traditionally that was the primary job of Veterinarians. monitoring and treating livestock and horses.

more of today's veterinarians prefer working with cute dogs and kitties.

70 percent of the antibiotics produced in the U.S.A are given to livestock. in addition to other drugs. These are not only to prevent them from being sick, but to keep them alive while they are sick, long enough to be fattened up on a diet that would kill them fast without all the drugs.

professions being what they are, it is a lot more expensive to become a qualified veterinarian than it used to be. 270 million over five years in loan forgiveness for Veterinarians is about 54 million a year. that's about 1.2 million per year per state. Ohio has about 88 counties, most of them significantly rural. figure each county has a few veterinarians. that's between 10 and 20 grand per county in veterinarian education. loan forgiveness is better than grants and scholarships. lot of the grants and scholarships guys wash out.

The FDA has a number of technician jobs also listed. you can make between 12 and 20 dollars an hour collecting samples and monitoring for excessive infection rates at egg farms, pig feed lots, and dairies across ohio. It is a Patriotic job, keeping our food safe.
You might notice a lot of the workers on the farms you inspect are Mestizo. Don't worry about that: you are there to inspect the cows and sheep and milk and chickens and pigs. This is about defending the Big Mac.

I do not know. is it a "Bribe"? i have never come across references to veterinarians who specialize in livestock and herding dogs being very political. the 283 million over 5 years is to reduce a fraction of the student loans of practicing veterinarians in cattle country.
