Food Fetchers Warning.

Post by Ryan Salo »

Hopefully this will save someone the hassle of dealing with this company. I tried food fetchers tonight and was extremely disappointed. I can understand that people make mistakes but the area manager needs to take a "how to win friends" class. The food we received wasn't even warm tonight. I called to ask why and was told that it was delivered within the 60 min window and he basically didn't care if it was cold. They charge quite a bit for the convenience but let me tell you, I would rather take the bus to pick up the food than deal with this company again.

Be warned. :D

When ordering out, sometimes I try: http://www.honeycanyougopickupthefood.com

However, I've haven't had much success with that service. In about 12-13 years I'll be able to use http://www.canoneofyoukidsgopickupthefood.com

Until then, I have to rely on: http://www.gogetityourself.com

I'm really quite surprised. My husband and I have regularly used Food Fetchers for about 4 years now. No complaints. They have a great website with lots of menus, so ordering is easy. And the added charge isn't that much and certainly at least the same, if not less, than what we'd have to pay for tips, etc. Yes, you have to wait about 45 minutes, but when you're sick, etc. and want something other than pizza, this is a great option.

I have yet to get any kind of takeout food that retains heat by the time I get it home, so I don't expect it to be any better when ordering from another service. My expectations are realistic.

Stephanie - Thanks for posting. I am glad you had better service or maybe you like cold food :). Our food was cold and we figured out that the food was sitting at the restaurant for over 20 minutes. We had received a gift certificate for them and 3 out of the 5 times we have used them we have had similar experiences. I was also shocked and disappointed at the owners attitude, he was very rude. The google reviews and BBB seem to have it right.

Stan - I hear you, that is probably why the working out hasn't been as productive as I want. :)
