Ed,
I would've given up after the first horrible experience, if it was as horrible as you make it sound.

Wow!
I was intrigued by the idea of water being refused at restaurants. I'd always thought that restaurants had to offer it upon demand?
I mean regular tap water, as opposed to the bottled kind.
After a quick computer search, I quickly found out that there a number of places around the world that do indeed charge for tap water, although around here, I've never seen that practice.
I do understand that beverages can constitute a significant part of a restaurant's billing, and also- that yes, there is a cost to the restaurant for that water, as well as the labor to wash glasses and all.
Seems too though, that some of the eco-advocacy people are also supporting restaurant water charges as being an environmentally supportable action, as well.
I was, however, unable to find either an Ohio law, or a Lakewood ordinance about this issue.
Perhaps one of our Observers can come up with the answer to this one.
I do think, however, that tap water should be free upon request; as a basic customer courtesy, if for no other reason.
All just my opinion anyway....
Back to the banjo....

Ivor,
I guess that's the difference between you and me. I'm willing to allow someone to have a bad day and try again. The point was I gave this A LOT of chances.
I'm only pointing out my experiences. If that's being overly negative to you, sorry. I call it as I see it.
Someone must be getting served because he's still in business and has a shiny new sign to boot.

Nice patio. I was only at this place once, and I was pregnant. I dont remember the service because again, pregnant brain...LOL. I do remember though the party I was with at that time was in shock that a girl like me could eat so much. I believe it was the nachos I ordered....
I still am not a big fan of eating outside....too many darn bugs and the midges this year have been horrible and I just dont like sharing my food (or my face, arms, legs, and other body parts) with bugs. LOL.
