Were the two of you drinking Everclear over the holiday?

I guess I'm getting old but the colors of the new board are tough on my eyes. The other board had a softer, less contrast scheme. Is there a place for an individual user to adjust the color scheme? I looked under my profile/preferences but didn't see a way to do so.

Thanks!

If you can give me a hint about which colors you are having difficulties with, I might be able to help.

The major complaint has been "not enough contrast between type and background".

Also, have you had any luck with making type bigger or smaller?

Yes, increasing the font size helped a bit.

I'm seeing a thin black type on a white background. The text box has a thin green border.

I think the black against white is causing my eyes to "zing."

Does that help? Maybe its the thinness of the font, IDK.

Grace, please go back to your User Control Panel.
Click "Board preferences"
Look for "My board style:"

The LO Observation Deck has a couple different themes to choose from. One may work better for you than another. Your choice.

DL,

Today's upgrade looks nice. Much cleaner. I am now able to read the Deck on my PDA. Thank you!

Question: What happens if we hit the "Delete all Board cookies" button?

For those who HATE this style, please go to to the User Control Panel and look for Board Settings, then Board Style. We have several styles from which to choose. The other style is called Maxthon.

Deleting Board Cookies is no big deal. It deletes your preferences. You'll have to reset things, like having it remember your name or password or keeping you logged in... and it won't remember the style you chose if it's different from the board style or your time zone.

Sometimes if the board is acting wonky for you, it's helpful to delete your cookie and start fresh. The cookie is a little text file that lives on your computer and it does not collect information into the database that runs the Deck.

DL,

I see that when you create a new post there is an option for having a poll. Great idea!

Before I post a poll question, I better ask some questions. So, here they go:

    1. Does the poll show results?
    2. Can people vote and post reply comments at the same time?
    3. If people can post reply comments, does the poll (and possible results) follow each post? Or do you need to scroll to the first poll to see results?
    4. Are there any other questions that I need to ask about the poll option? If so, what are those questions, and corresponding answers?

Thanks. That's it, for now.

There seem to be only 2 pages to the topics in the General Discussion (unless I'm looking at this wrong, which is always possible). Am I reading this wrong? If yes, please correct me. If not, are the remaining topics coming back? The number of topics didn't change even when I clicked on the button down near the bottom of the page that said show posts for the past year. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment you can provide.
