Thank You Belle Ave.

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

I received a call from School Board member Matt Markling to come
over and check out Belle Ave.'s block party and ice cream social.
It reminded me why I live in Lakewood. The people!

After getting out, my new friend Ben assured me I was not leaving
with his new car. Just kidding.

Nevan ponders eating more ice cream or biking.

Meg and Matt ponder if Nevan can fit any more ice cream into himself.

Everyone had fun, and ice cream.

Everyone!

Thanks to all the resident of Belle Ave. for a nice break on a long beautiful Sunday

Jim,

Thank you for stopping by! The Belle Avenue kids loved the big guy in the small car.

Meg Ostrowski and John Hueter, and the rest of Belle Avenue (between Franklin and Madison), did a wonderful job putting this ice cream social together. It was a test run for a block party to come later this fall. Thanks to Meg for taking the lead on this event.

Thanks to the City for allowing us to have this little event.

And, thanks to School Board President Ed Favre, Ward 2 Councilperson Tom Bullock, and At-Large Councilperson Nickie J. Antonio for stopping by and saying, "Hello!"

It was indeed a safe, clean, and fun May day in Lakewood, Ohio.

Matt
