In light of the recent storm and power outage across NE Ohio, what would your world be like if you had no access to the Internet for one week. You could not access the net at home, through your phone, school, or work. How would you feel and what would you do? What aspects of your life would suffer, and which ones would bloom?
I personally would be ok with having no Internet for a week. I had a house fire last spring. After the fire, I had no phone, electricity, food, clothes and no Internet. I was in temporary housing for almost six months while we rebuilt our house. Out of all the things I lost, my computer was a real big bother. I hated not having the Internet. I really [/i[i]]did feel cut off from the world. I was so desperate for the Internet that I spent time at a McDonald's for the net on my cell phone. As time went on I got over not having the net and I was just fine. The only thing that really affected me not having the net was that I had to drop my online classes when school started back up again. I am back in my house now with many computers and the Internet.
No Internet for a week for a large potion of the population could really be a problem. A lot of businesses use the net to run their business. One example would be every time you use your credit card to buy something. Have you ever gone to the store with nothing but a credit card? Most likely yes, and what if their credit card machine was down? Then your not going to be able to buy anything. What if you can't even access your money from the back at night from the ATM. A lot of peoples phones theses days run through the Internet, so they won't be able to call anyone unless you had a cell phone. Because of technology, we actually need the Internet to function. Back a long time ago, when all this hi tech stuff wasn't around and the net didn't exist, we survived just fine. I don't think you can have one with out the other. Meaning, you can't have all this technology without the Internet.

I'd read just like I always do. My biggest fear was not having any lights for a while, but I bought a bunch of book lights, so now I can weather any storm.
