They may understand, we certainly do. Not everyone wants to do this type of thing. People want to hold on to their own agenda.
But this is truly what it means to come to a concensus. That's something that doesn't sit well with everyone but truly is the future of organizational structure and forward motion.
Look at what we just did. It really does look good.

In the end we respected those groups that came before us and built on their ideas in a natural progression. At a time when funds, time, and talent is stretched so thin, while reinvent the wheel? Why not use tools that are free and empower all to have a seat at the table.
Transparency is easy. In this town it is also FREE.
Oh well.

Any of the colors are nice, but I would suggest Green and I don't mean to be difficult given that it is one of the colors you don't have. And Gary is right, don't choose the traffic green - pick a beautiful shade of green. I just love a bright happy yellowish-green.
Right now anything Green is in. The city of Lakewood wants to be more Green. Saving energy and the environment. It really depends on what you want to say - but Green to me says forward thinking, progressive and cares about the environmnet.

I do like the shape of the Birdtown sign better. I think the green gets there without the dollar signs and coins. Maybe a better symbol or none at all.
By the way I agree wtih Ryan about the edit button. It is a nice feature.

Actually I would like to use the tree design from the Lakewood Alive site. I love that tree design. Or something similar. Lakewood does have a ton of trees. It's one of the things I think of when I think of my town.

I was puzzled at first as they seemed to read wrong. However after looking at them, it suddenly came into focus. I stood on the other side of the room and they both read very easily, and the "district name" truly jumped off the sign.
I also like the way the designer, was able to work so many ideas from the committee into the layout.
I would agree with Sharon, that the redish one seems almost too much where the beige background really pulls it all together.
Very nice.

I was looking for the signs today. From a distance it seemed like they might have been take down. I assume that their polling resulted in a color selection.
And the winning color is...?
