Not to be nit picky but when talking about "dumbing down" something make sure you spell the words in the subject correctly. Just sayin'.

I have a great old friend with CF who is surprisingly "old" (we are both 40) because for years he was given a new "expiration date" from doctors since he was 6. They said he wouldn't live past 8. Then 12. Then 21. And so on. I think they just gave up on trying to limit his life span thank goodness. Much thanks goes to the local work from Rainbow Babies and Children and their amazing team of doctors, nurses and researchers. Groovy stuff. It may not be PC but it certainly is a nasty disease.
