This article is filled with loaded and heavy words. It's misleading. Instead of blaming Palin, the journalist should have stuck to facts and numbers.

People screaming "Terrorist! Kill Him!" at a John McCain rally didn't really help their message of "change", but it spread their message of doubt, fear and normal Washington rhetoric. Nothing positive comes out of negativity, so I never understand why campaigns cling to that strategy.

But, ultimately, the voters that looked towards a brighter future won this election. This election was more about progressing as a country and making history, rather than regressing and repeating it.

I hope that the election of Barack Obama by a sweeping majority of votes shows other countries in the World that if America is able to get over it's Civil War, then any country is able to do the same.

That's the America that we knew when we first moved here. That's the America that the rest of the world knew. That's the America that we all are working hard to restore. Our image, influence and reputation is a bit battered at the moment, but I don't discount the will that good-hearted Americans who support their country during trying times have.
