I can honestly say that I have never seen such excitement world wide at the election of an American President. President Elect Obama has an amazing opportunity to take this incredible good will and build on it.
The only other time in my life time that we had this kind of opportunity was after 9/11 and unfortunately we didn't capitalize on it.
Obama seems to be a student of history, I hope he sees that people all over the world are being open minded and are willing to give us another chance.
I was flabbergasted today that some of our previous adversaries were talking again and all they wanted was to be treated with respect. Now I know some of you will say that I am being naive, that they just want to take advantage of his inexperience. But I am through being cynical after this election. I am being hopeful, which is what I now see all around me.
