Palin says election results rest in "god's hands"
This is when you know that your campaign is in trouble. When calling your opponent a muslim, then a good pal of the terrorists, then a socialist, and this week a communist doesn't work and the American people don't buy it...put your faith in God's vote. Because, you know, he's up there waiting to cast his absentee ballot at any given moment.
I'll have my faith in the American People come November 4th. Not just in the "Pro-American" parts of the country, but in all parts of the country.

ok
I feel McCain would have had a better chance of winning to have chosen a moderate from Michigan, Wisconsin, or the northern half of Illinois or Iowa.
Preferrably someone whose parents worked in manufacturing or ran a farm under 300 acres.
Obama is no more a socialist than a Republican is a socialist.
The interstate highway is socialism.
The wall street bailouts are some kind of socialism.
Having sidewalks on both sides of most residential streets is socialism.
K12 education is socialism. Especially most of 9-12 education. Half those kids should go right into the labor force, in a free market society. so's we could compete with China's rigorous free market system.
medicaid is socialism. social security is socialism. vote for the party that is most for taking your parents or grandparents off socialism. your parents or grandparents can just come live with you. their pension from working 20 or 40 years at the same private sector industry probably won't come through. but at least you are ruggedly independent.
federally funded scientific research is socialism.
defending large sections of the world with our military is global socialism
illegalizing marijuana is protectionism for the alcohol industry and makework for police, DAs, and the Prison-Industrial complex.(paid for by our taxes)
most americans pay a premium to move away from other peoples(the wrong kind of peoples') kids. no matter how often the televangelists tell them Republicans are pro-life and Democrats are not Pro-Life.
The Republicans win the prize for dumbing down the most people with slogans and buzz words. I hear when we switch to Hi-Def tv the government is even subsidizing new converter boxes for tv.

Yeah the whole converter box thing is a tricky issue. I just got two myself they work ok but are hardly worth $60-$80. That is the problem with government subsidies. Is the price of the converter box artificially inflated because they know they can count on the government to pick up that tab? Who Know
Problem with the converter box is that now I have to get one of those big antanas. PBS's digital signal is apparently not that hot. It does not even come in on the first floor and spotty at best on the 2nd.

I've been trying to replace tv with local radio. the signal from WCLV doesn't come in well all the time. When the dial is at NPR the signal will randomly jump to various college stations.
