In a stump speech sharpened for the second week in a row, the GOP presidential candidate defended his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, against attacks from the "feminist left." And Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., introduced McCain by declaring him under siege by the "liberal elite media."
First it is the liberal elite media now it is the feminist left?
I love mccain. It is like watching nascar just for the crash. Except nascar drivers are do not get out of the car and blame everyone and their mother for their short comings.
Actually there is, if it still exists. There are two groups that I'm familiar with, The Eagle Forum that was headed up by Phyllis Schafly and Feminists for Life.
Then there is Camille Paglia. She is a total psycho who knows how to work the media.

Agreed. I had a friend who claimed to be a part of this group. I was like, "really??" I guess it happens. This was just before the Republican Revolution of 90's, however. There was a time, I think, when the Republican party wasn't obsessed with limiting the rights of gay men and women so it could happen. The party of "Less government, lower taxes" could fit someone who was gay or straight. When it became the neo-con outpost of the late 90's and into this century, look out. I would have to guess Log Cabin Republicans are more and more rare.
The word that always gets me though is the "elite" tag they throw on to everything...as if owning a half dozen homes (and losing count of them) and as many or more cars would somehow not be "elite."
