This is my last post for a while (I know, I know, you're all deeply sad), because this crap is making me too crazy.
But thankfully there ARE conservatives who have not completely insane--Will, David Brooks, Andrew Sullivan, Kathleen Parker, Eisenhower's daugher, etc., and now Christopher Buckley.
Read it and hope that we arent turning into a banana republic run by the lowest common denominator

Buckley's quote "I pray secularly" is so sublime. It is the pluperfect (analyze that DeVito) expression of a true intellectual conservative who loves the exploration of the mind, intellect.
I just hope that after the election is over that conservatives of his elegance and literary eloquence will still remain active.
While his New England references to prep schools and colleges may not be familiar to us frontiers people here in the Western Reserve I understand his need to explain his radical actions to his peers.
Just as I always wanted to be reborn as a liberal William F. Buckley, so to would I like to have a beer with Christopher Buckley.
