let's not forget the Enron and worldcom guys were practically connected at the hip to the Bush-Cheney white house. The Republican higher-ups probably nominated McCain for one reason: he isn't as sleazy as the last crop they nominated. His job is to lose strong. When the consequences of too much sprawl and outsourcing and reaganomics hit the fan, the Democrats' bandaids will be blamed, and the Republicans will sweep the white house and congress again.

Why is everyone so invested in what is essentially a very weak attempt at "Swift Boat 2?" Unless Obama had a secret tryst with Ayers there is no evidence that beyond their association they have no serious link to one another. Who cares what Hamas says in terms of this election? Haven't we allowed the terrorists to dictate US foreign policy enough for the last 7 years? If you vote for a candidate because of what a terrorist organization says then I guess the terrorists DID win. It is because of them we aren't allowed to leave Iraq. It is because of them we nearly have to strip before getting on an airplane (and mom's have to drink their own breast milk...can that get any weirder??).

Hey man, if you use Hamas to guide your voting decisions, I guess that is your problem.

I waver between being deeply deeply deeply deeply deeply depressed--by the hordes of people who show up at personality cult rallies for Sarah Palin--and deeply moved by the discipline and focused good cheer of the young people who are making the Obama campaign a success (and which I have witnessed as a voluteer canvasser).
Sarah Palin is a clown, a liar, a charade of disgustingly cynical culture war politics, a wannabee who has no business being anywhere remotely close to a position of influence in this incredibly dangerous time. She is a symptom of a conservativism that is desperately ill.

Yes, I like his plan of bailing out the small guy.... We have no choice in this matter thanks to the leaders of the Democratic party. It was the leaders of the democratic party who stopped the Fannie and Freddie regulation hearings in 2004.
