Thanks Mary, I was actually just kind of proving a point on this. It is ridiculous and has been for awhile. I will now continue to stick with the point. Thanks for your post.

Let me drag it into the gutter of the low road one more time. Having watched this twice.

Palin's forehead does not move either!

Highpoint of the debate. The look on Mr. Palin's face after Joe Biden came over. "Hi, I am going to kick your ass." it seemed to say.

Quite the opposite, I think it said... "my WIFE is soooo going to kick your ass."

I am sure we have both done some serious drinking in towns of less than 5,000. To me it had that, "So you think you are better than us..." followed normally by the sucker punch.

yeah, maybe you're right. Come to think of it, I think I can read his lips. I think he said... "ah, Joe, can I have a word with you out in the parking lot." :D

I just have to put in my three cents (my gems are worth so much more and there is inflation, ya know).

A VP candidate that winks at the camera during a debate. Sure inspires respect for a candidacy for the second highest office in the country. Go figure.

We are in a war and a sever economic crisis and a VP candidate is winking at the camera. I find that insulting and appalling.

I would change sever into severe, but we can't edit and I just woke up.

I know, excuses, excuses.

Ok sorry about the makeup comment last night. I was a little ticked off that after watching a debate during this crucial time a comment was made about appearance, it just seemed so uncalled for. Funny that this has at least on one side turned into a campaign about appearances. How insulting to the electorate. As for appearances at least at Sullivan's where I watched the debate the winking didn't go over very well. Winking just makes me cringe because I always feel like the person doing it thinks they are pulling some over on me. If we are going to talk about appearances and body language one candidate looked very professional and the other looked like they were trying to be our friend. And guys I don't know about you, but right now in this crucial time of our economy tanking I want competent leaders more than I need another friend

Danielle,
You had every right to be ticked, it is a ridiculous post and I did it on purpose. You proved my point. I see so much garbage being sent around that has nothing to really do with the election.( I see it on both sides by the way.) She did have on a bit too much blush though, didn't she? Have a great day everyone!

I'm glad I was listening and not watching.

I'm not a big fan of either politician, but I was impressed at how many words Palin can say in a short period of time.

I also find that highly annoying (from anyone) because it's usually the sign of someone who only spreads a message. Perfectly appropriate for a debate, however. Biden was reasonably controlled.

I'm not sure I see the point in Vice-Presidential debates except that sometimes they can be embarrassing for the participants.

It's just phony.

I enjoyed some of the silliness before the debate because I knew it was primarily a livestock show featuring two prize pigs. Might as well have some fun...

There's lots of good pork out here - I just ordered some pork belly to make my own pancetta!

All discussions should drift into food conversations!

Also+2, sorry if anyone thinks I'm insulting pigs.

Mmmmm food. I enjoyed watching the debate somewhere where I could eat, food and politics do go well together.
