Alaska Oil Taxes

Post by ryan costa »

Alaska draws heavy tax revenue and royalties from its oil. It is similar how Americans promoted trade just enough to generate sizeable tariffs on imports during most of U.S. history.

This is probably a fair way for that state to distribute the wealth generated by its frontier resources.

It also reminds me of the Boston Tea Party. Colonists needed Tea. the Caffeine helped them get up and go. Today we need oil to get up and go. and we are paying the oil companies to pay the taxes and royalties on Alaskan oil. It would be funny if some patriots dressed up as rednecks and dumped the oil into the ocean. Not in real life. but in some kind of movie.
