I am disapointed...
Look I sincerely dislike palin and mccain. I like obama and biden. BUT I hate when people do not stand up for what is ultimately right and good in and about america. I expect that the polar bear hating, anwar drilling, close minded fool is opposed to gay marriage.
(why? because jesus says that marriage is a union between a man and a women. too bad that is not an argument. I would like to see that brought to the supreme court. but that is a whole other topic)
I would however expect the democrat to at lease make a nodd towards the good. But no, he went with the same lame "do no harm" bull crap political and says that he does no support gay marriage.
This is 2008 people wake up and stop thinking you are god's gift to mankind.

What really ticks me off about that is that the Human Rights Campaign has done a lot of work for this ticket.
I'm for them big time, but I'm sorely disappointed. My kids deserve to have their rights also.

PALIN: Well, not if it goes closer and closer towards redefining the traditional definition of marriage between one man and one woman. And unfortunately that's sometimes where those steps lead.
But I also want to clarify, if there's any kind of suggestion at all from my answer that I would be anything but tolerant of adults in America choosing their partners, choosing relationships that they deem best for themselves, you know, I am tolerant and I have a very diverse family and group of friends and even within that group you would see some who may not agree with me on this issue, some very dear friends who don't agree with me on this issue.
But in that tolerance also, no one would ever propose, not in a McCain-Palin administration, to do anything to prohibit, say, visitations in a hospital or contracts being signed, negotiated between parties.
But I will tell Americans straight up that I don't support defining marriage as anything but between one man and one woman, and I think through nuances we can go round and round about what that actually means.
But I'm being as straight up with Americans as I can in my non- support for anything but a traditional definition of marriage.

I know this always disappoints some friends but.
If they both support every legal right that a married couple has.
Doesn't that make it a religious issue?
I just have hard times understanding this.
But then I think abortion is murder
and is the legal as the law of the land
and always needs to be a legal option
"Think I am screwed up?
Ask my friends you don't know the half of it.

Where, exactly, did Jesus say that?
But this is about parity under the law and civil rights...

Frankly, I was shocked that Biden admitted to being against gay marriage. Not shocked that he's against it, but that he actually admitted it.
And was it me, or did anyone else get the feeling that at any second Palin was going to pull a fresh, hot, apple pie out from behind that podium and offer a piece to the audience.
I thought last night was interesting. But I thought there were two different events going on... a discussion between Biden and the moderator and a discussion between Palin and the audience.
I think Biden won the debate. But the problem was that Palin wasn't trying to win a debate, she was trying to win votes, and in that regard I think McCain was the bigger winner on the night.

Well if you read the writings, you would know the answer to why that is.

I want to see SNL do a debate skit...
Biden: "Face it Governor, McCain is just four more years of failed Bush policy!"
Palin: "Gosh Joe, you look angry. Would you like a cookie? I just made a fresh batch. Look, they're in the shape of little oil wells."
Biden: "No I don't want a cookie, I want to discuss McCain's continuation of the worst presidential administration in history!!!!!"
Palin: "Goodness, that sounds serious. I've got milk too. See, little moose mugs from Wasilla, you really should try some cookies."
