I am totally against this bailout... let them fail.. let them file Bankruptcy.. why give these crack addicts more money to blow on crack??? (especially when it is our money) McCain, Biden and Obama are all voting yes on the bailout.. This has caused me to take a closer look at Barr... (he is against the bailout)

OK Stephen I finally looked at one of your links and sorry, did not find humor in subjects that are too important to our children. Anyone that works with teen parents, teens with terminal sexual disease, druggie and abusive parents, would never belittle the importance of sex ed. We have kids getting pregnant as early as age twelve, maybe younger. Cycles are coming earlier than they ever have which enables earlier pregnancies, and peer pressure and other elements are encouraging children to have sex. They need to know the truth of what can occur. They need to know that abstinence is the best option, but if you choose otherwise, here is how to protect yourself.

Here is where I get tripped up on people's "beliefs". If you don't believe in abortion, what does that mean? To me believing in something is not enough. Believing in something so strong that it affects who you vote for to run our country means you are active. If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem. If you don't believe in abortion, what are you doing to help prevent unwanted pregnancies? How about volunteering with teen moms? Toni G. runs the teen mom program here in Lakewood and had several cuts this year. I bet she could use some help with the teens who have babies.

See, "believing" in a war when we don't have a loved one there and aren't doing anything to help soldiers or their families really means what?

This is not directed at you Stehpen, since I don't know what you do in your downtime. But I just witness beliefs from Democrats differently. I see them out there doing the work they believe in, helping people. What is a belief if there is nothing behind it though?

52% of teens use drugs before they leave high school
--50% of teens had used alcohol in the last 30 days
--1/8 of teens suffer from depression, but only 30% ever
receive treatment
--One third of junior high school teens are sexually active
--75% of teens are sexually active before they reach twenty
--34% of teenage girls become pregnant
--The most common issue 12 year old girls face is how to
prevent a boy with whom she is involved with from
having sex with her (and the girl’s parents usually
don’t know she is involved with anyone)
--Homicide is the second leading cause of death in teenagers,
and suicide is the third
--Every year, 9 million teenagers contract a sexually
transmitted disease

Do we put our heads in the sand and pretend this does not exist or do we become part of the solution?

By the way I heard Palin's town had the highest meth abuse. True or not true? I also heard that McCain cheated on his ex-wife who was disfigured in an accident with the rich wife he has now. True or not true?

A man who voted for Kerry in 2004 was recently heard to say:

"I was told if I voted for John Kerry we would end up with a socialist America. You know what? They were right!

In a quick search (really I have errands to run and shouldn't be online) I found that back in 2003 Wasilla was considered the meth capital of Alaska. Now to be fair she was no longer in office but it's doubtful that the city became meth capital overnight.

As for McCain I have read countless stories about him cheating on his wife. She was a beautiful swimsuit model when they married and when he returned to the US she was quite disfigured from an auto accident. Supposedly the split was mutual and McCain has continued to financially support her. From the articles I have read it seemed that he became quite the celebrity when he came home and his marriage to his wife didn't really fit in with his new lifestyle. His ex-wife does say she supports him and harbors no ill feelings towards him.
