Is The Obama Bubble Bursting?

Post by Bill Call »

The appeal of Barak Obama seems to be following the same parabolic curve of most bubbles. See this right on analysis:

The same rules applies to Sarah Palin, although the author is correct in pointing out that the crash (probably) won't happen until after the election.

I'll click on the link later, but Bill could you please spell his name properly. Every time you spell his name wrong it makes me cringe and it also makes me take your comments less seriously. You are an intelligent man and I can't believe that you are spelling it incorrectly on accident but incase you are it is spelled Barack.

Carry on.

Polls can be interpreted in favor of the client - certain questions, particular ways of stating things.

This poll may have some significance, but I don't put a lot of faith in polls.

The big thing is, that the pollster are not reaching an extraordinarily high number of people, because they no longer have land lines.

Since most of the people without land lines tend to be younger and/or technically more savvy, they're missing a huge amount of people.

In addition, young people and working class people tend to be more transient even within their own communities, due to economic restraints.

Republican candidates campaigns swing mistruths like a broadsword.

this time the campaigns are straight away saying Obama will raise "taxes". Democrat campaign gets flustered or tries to explain how their opponent is wrong or dishonest.

Reagan also raised a lot of taxes. especially payroll taxes.

Conservatives want things to be like 1950s or adult-world 1960s. that can be accomplished by lowering payroll taxes, raising corporate taxes, raising tariffs and import duties, raising higher tier income taxes, and raising capital gains taxes toward 1950s and 1960s levels. For some reason economic growth was greater then, but hell.

Democrats and old-school Republicans don't present themselves in simple slogans and facts well.

There are simple economic records and straightforward analysis they can use to represent themselves better. The Great American Deception by Ravi Batra, The Myth of Free Trade by Ravi Batra, and Greenspan's Fraud by Ravi Batra all contain basic facts that are great to use in debates if you can remember them.

The Value of a Dollar by Scott Derks is also a great source book. It mostly lists how much things generally cost in different years. compare median wages by year to the cost of most staples by year. Housing, Rent, a Suit, shoes, various Medical Services and Hospital services, lodging, public K12 education, higher education. It is really alarming when you consider many professionals and white collar workers didn't have masters degrees 30 or 40 or 50 years ago. And when you consider how most healthcare was so cheap compared to median wages and average household savings back then that most people probably didn't need health insurances.

this are all basic things a president should know.

It was just a careless error. I've been known to spell John Mcains name wrong.
