Domino's Pizza had a Gotham City Pizza promotion when the latest Batman film was released.
The Gotham Pizza was covered in pepperonis. that is how you could tell it was the Gotham City Pizza. They weren't arranged in the shape of a bat-logo. It was just a pizza with extra pepperonis.
Most of the promotional posters I saw didn't even have Batman on them. And the posters I saw that did include Batman were disappointing. Batman wasn't holding a slice of Gotham Pizza. He wasn't eating pizza. He wasn't holding the box and offering it to anyone. He wasn't even looking at it.
Forty years ago things would have been different. Batman and all the other main characters would have been holding pizza with one hand, and dancing with the rest of their bodies. The Ventures would be performing some jaunty dance music in the background.

The Apes didn't hold Pizza and dance from Planet of the Apes and neither did Apes from 2001.
Apes were big in 1968.
Rosemary's Baby didn't hold a pizza or dance, either.
TV in 1968 had commercials built right into the programs - like when Jethro Bodine ate K E double L O double Good corn flakes from a giant bowl.
