The Link that Democrats don't want to follow
Here's what factcheck.org has come up with while trying to look into all the speculation about Sarah Palin.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_palin.html
Hmmmm, some of those sound very familiar. Now where did I see people repeating those claims?
I suppose the next claim will be that this is just another Republican propoganda sight.

Everyone should be strongly encouraged to look at all of the articles on this fine site including:
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008 ... ccain.html
FactChecking McCain
He made some flubs in accepting the nomination.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008 ... rt_ii.html
GOP Convention Spin, Part II
Palin trips up on her facts...
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008 ... leads.html
Maverick Misleads
A McCain ad comparing Palin to Obama isn't all above board.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008 ... _spin.html
GOP Convention Spin
Lieberman and Thompson make misleading claims about Obama...
(republican friends, please don't be afraid to follow those links!)
Another good site:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/
I certainly am not afraid to follow the truth and I don't believe I've used any of the Palin slimes mentioned in the article and I don't recall seeing any here on LO (but I haven't read every post)... there are plenty of issues surrounding this VP pick that are frighteningly true.

Bret (and others), you may also be interested in this site, which is a sort of clearinghouse for Palin rumors. The guy's clearly Pro-Palin, but he provides copious links to back himself up.
It is getting a bit difficult to filter out fact from fiction, but that's what happens when you put forward a relative unknown and give everyone five days to try and figure out who she is and where she's coming from before nominating her.

I am still trying to figure out why Democrats didn't want to follow that link.
It would seem most were eager to follow that link, provide other links that talk of both sides, and many, many check the facts links.

good
that was a good Palin Link.
Here is a link to general facts about Republican Alaska:
http://www.time.com/time/politics/artic ... 24,00.html
Obviously Palin isn't responsible for most of these features of Alaska. It is an astute run down of taxation and spending though. I liked the part comparing Alaska to OPEC. It makes me wonder what Atlantic and Pacific coast states would do if very much more oil were extracted within the latitudes of their coast lines.
