September 28!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

McCain campaign people on TV over the past two days have assured us by September 28, Sarah Palin will be ready to talk with the media and ask questions.

McCain 30+ years of media scrutiny

Biden 30+ years of media scrutiny

Obama 4+ years of media scrutiny

Palin - 16 days an counting until day 1 of media scrutiny

This is insane.

Wait what?

Shouldn't she have been ready before she was picked to be the vice presidential candidate for the Republican Party? So is she going through training right now or something? Like VP media boot camp?

This sounds very comforting, obviously she was the right choice.

A little over 4 years ago, Obama gave the speech that propelled him into the public spotlight. One could make a pretty solid argument at that point and time many in the Democratic Party saw him as the next presidental candidate, and he has been in the media crosshairs.

He has been in them so long, we forget many of the bumps in the road.

As Bill Maher put it so well the other night. If Barack Obama had been seen addressing a convention of "separatists" that Michelle was a key organizer with, using terms like "Gods Will," and "Keep up the good fight," while their 17 year old daughter unmarried was standing next to them pregnant, you do not think the press and the Right would not be having a field day.

The clip from that convention that Sarah Palin said, "Keep up the good fight," make Rev. Wright seem like a stand-up proud American.

Come Eisel, you know that is true. We have the proof. Bill O'Riley telling America that Jamie Spears and Britney Spear's mother was to blame for Jamie's pregnancy. That it was her mother that had failed and was incompetent. We know what Rush and other said when Micelle Obama said, "Now I am finally proud of my country." What if she would have said, "Illinois, we must get out of the United States, we must separate from the the other 49..."

The right and the pundits have become a joke, say anything do anything to get elected. 4 and 8 years ago I said, "Any group working this hard with lies, supression of votes, perversion of the electoral and judical process want the office so bad they must be up to no good. And look, war profiteering on the "peace dividened" the failure of education and the economy. More layoffs than jobs created while they help American manufacturing move overseas. Help, I mean also finance it. Their plan was to gut and loot America, and they have.

The list of things we are not supposed to ask, or question is so long it is crazy that America has sat still. Numero Uno, Caryle Group. Nemero Two-o, NAtional energy policy crafted by Enron, and meeting minutes that have never seen the light of day, even after they wind up in prison.

McCain VP: Palin ready to lead day one![/quote

While Sarah Palin mentions it "Sounds Cool" to be VP, she also mentions openly, she would have to be able to make sure that "Being VP would be fruitfal for Alaska." That alone should bring much into question.

Well in three weeks, the media will finally get a chance to ask he questions.

Seems like she has it together?

Just think on 9-11 we would have only ha to wait until 9-28 for action of conversation. Hey wait, that is the same date now! Conspiracy freaks start your engines.

It is a farce.

I'm not sure I understand how a lack of media scrutiny can be construed as a shortcomming for a candidate.

First of all, Palin had been interviewed on CNN several months ago and has gotten more than just a once over by conservative talk radio.

Just because the liberal side of the media chose not to persue research on anyone but the mainstream candidates, how is that a failing for the Republican Party?

Obama 4+ years of media scrutiny

yeah, Obama should definitely list "overcoming media scrutiny" on his LOOOOONG list of credentials.

It is not the short coming of the3 candidate it is glimpse into how McCain will run things. SAME AS USUAL, in secret, try to get by lowering expectations, and on and on. It is the McCain machine that will only let her speak with "friendly voices."

She is now being researched, but she is not allowed to speak for herself.

Compare that with Obama in the House of Reily.

If the Democrats had said hands off, you eisel and others would be crying.

Rick Davis, campaign manager for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., just told Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace that McCain running mate Gov. Sarah Palin won't subject herself to any tough questions from reporters "until the point in time when she'll be treated with respect and deference."

What the heck does that mean. This is not high school Gov. Palin. You need to be able to roll with the punches and come out swinging, being the VP an all. Not hide behind McDaddy's campaign monkeys.

This really does make you wonder if we are in store for just more of the same secretive crap that ruined us in the first place.
