Do most people NOT know that it takes petroleum products to make plastics?

you can use a plastic bottle over and over again for several years if you try.

No. Same way people do not know that it takes petroleum to make ethonal.

Sure but we are pretty lazy and that would not fit into our get it now life-style.

You are actually not supposed to do that. They are not meant for repeat use. You can never get them clean enough and will continually keep re- drinking saliva and bacteria, and heat breaks them down. So if they arent leaching chemicals in the water, the bacteria has nice little crevices to hide.

i did not know that. perhaps running them through the dish washing machine is enough. Or the microwave.


Some varieties of plastic are more suited to this than others.

children of neat freaks are more prone to developing Asthma and Allergies. Lutherans.

Even worse. Water bottles are PET plastic and should not be heated in the dw or micro. It breaks down the compounds even faster.

Is boiling water in styrofoam cups in the microwave unhealthy? That may explain somethings. 8)
