Hi,
What do you mean by "For Republicans Only"? Do you mean those registered as Republicans? Do you mean those that believe in Bush Republicanism? Or are you asking for a reply from those that believe in fiscal conservatism and small government and no nation building?

As the person that will finally be President needs support of more than just any of the above definitions of "Republican", why do you not care to discuss this openly with all deck hands?

Hi,
Why?

In Ohio anyone can vote Republican in the primary. They can declare on that day.

sorry to break the rules, but I'm an independent and don't really care.

truthfully, between the Democrats bashing each other on non-policy issues, and the Republicans trying to "out-Reagan" each other, I'm not sure ANY of the candidates have any interest in my vote.

What was the original question again? All the non-republican talk blurred point :)

We could probably have a hunters only question or a bowlers only, but I guess people cant let politics stay separate.

In my opinion McCain is the only one that could beat Clinton. The Obama supporters will have a tough time showing up to vote and many will agree with McCain on some of his liberal ideas. Heck, McCain is so good a working on liberal ideas with Democrats he may have Edwards as VP.

I agree with both candidates on different issues and it will make my vote difficult, if our votes even matter by then...

Next time you want a republican only question maybe you should just PM the 6 of us that post here

( I am a registered Dem, but I am busting in anyway. The thread title is like catnip!!!).

I would be all for a McCain/Lieberman ticket or even a McCain/Edwards ticket. That would probably get my vote. We need that to get our country back together. I know Lieberman has said he would not be a VP though...

I like McCain a lot. He is a genuine guy, only his age troubles me. His choice of VP will be very important.

BTW Valerie my post was not geared toward you, it is encouraging you see McCain as a uniter. That is what we all need to strive for, finding common ground.

I can't really take Romney's Economic credentials seriously.

His business experience is mostly in profiting from the wall-street casino type shenanigans, not running business that actually produce things. In that regard he has profited from de-industrialization and outsourcing at the expense of more people who have lost than who have gained. However, an immense amount of highly skilled marketing research and design work went into the Tickle Me Elmo Doll, and it might not have been economically feasible to sell millions of Americans their own Tickle Me Elmo Dolls without outsourcing.

McCain's principle qualifications are being an old guy with too much dignity to ignore, running for a party that has disgraced itself for the last 27 years.
