Our US Foreign Policy Explained.

Post by Lynn Farris »

I found this exchange most interesting when Dr. Paul was asked tonight about his electability. Our foreign policy makes no sense.

[color=darkred]Asked about his viability, Paul took umbrage with a question about whether he is electable as the GOP nominee.

“Are you suggesting the Republicans should write me off because I am a strict constitutionalist? I am the most conservative member here. I have voted, you know, against more spending and waste in government than anybody else,â€Â

Mr. Paul is many things. A 'strict Constitutionalist' is not one of them.

I get where he wants to come from but his term is really an oxymoron. imo

So far Ron Paul has the best foreign policy ideas.

It doesn't really matter to us whether that have parliaments, republics, or democracies in the Middle Eastern nations. Those are factors that aren't tied to islamic extremism.

It isn't pragmatic for us to abandon the Middle East at this point. It is pragmatic for us to abandon East Asia entirely. South Korea is way tougher than North Korea on its own. The Russians aren't going to invade Japan. China probably won't invade Australia or New Zealand. Maybe Indonesia will invade the rest of New Guinea, but that is something we don't need to worry about.

we're no match for the industrial nationalism of south korea or japan.

We should close down all those bases and move all personnel to the Middle East and vicinity of Nigeria(they have a lot of oil).

Whoever likens themselves to Ronald Reagan the most is the worst candidate. So far that is Fred Thompson.
