Jet turbine powered electric car

He uses a biodiesel powered jet turbine to juice up batteries for electric engines in minutes.

for some reason this made me remember a scene from the movie Gremlins. They juice up a stairway wheel chair life. The Chair Lift works much faster. It fires the passenger out of the house like a cannon.

While not a hybred, Chrysler had a turbine car in 1963.

Problems with durability of the turbine fins led to its never being produced.

I haven't been following the progress of reliability in Turbine engines since the early 1960s. Maybe the germans or japanese have invented smaller, more reliable turbines since then.

The one mentioned above is meant to run for only a few minutes when the electric engine's batteries need recharged.
