Over 400,000 acres have burned. Over 1,500 homes have been destroyed. That doesn't seem like a lot of houses for 400,000 acres. They must really space them out in California.
Within a few years this could be happening across much of the eastern
sunbelt, if the droughts continue. All that kudzu will dry out. The biggest past time in the south is throwing cigarette butts and empty beer cans from moving vehicles. That stuff heats up and lights tinder.
There is still time now to send in millions of goats to eat the kudzu. herding goats isn't economically viable for Americans. So we can let all these unemployed Saudi Arabians do it. They will learn about Americans by reading the entertainment gossip magazines at the check out aisles of the super stores. After the harvest they return to the middle east with valuable enculturation and hundreds of pounds of goat meat.
