Tim---My special fetish is home improvement show hostesses (host persons?). Let's face it, swinging a hammer or flipping waffles--- either one can provide quite an "education."

Paula Dean didn't even get nominated.....does that make her the "Mrs. Howell" of the Food Network?

Tim

Great question.....

But first a story:

3 years ago, when that little minx Rachel was just starting to hit it big, the Library Foundation had the opportunity to bring her in for our yearly author's night. I was more than thrilled. I was this close to not only meeting her, but, as a member of the board, would also be able to accompany her to the after event dinner......

The it was determined that she probably wouldn't draw, and cookbook writers aren't authors....so, the powers that be passed on the opportunity.

Okay....got that out of my system....AGAIN

With that in mind, generally I think Giada prepares hot foods....although Rachel can toss in peppers with the best of them.

Does that answer your question?

After Iron Chef on Sunday, I watched the tag-team Iron Chef battle between Bobby Flay/Giada DeLaurentiis vs. Mario Batali/Rachel Ray.

Personally, I think Flay/Giada got ROBBED by Batali and that no-proper-training hack Rachel Ray. FN needs to dump her with a quickness; she doesen't belong in the same company of actually TRAINED chefs.

I'm hoping that FN keeps Batali though...rumors are to the contrary though. I was sad when Molto Mario was canceled...
