howww about them indians?!

Post by Ivor Karabatkovic »

it's so heartbreaking to see the lousy browns sell out every game, and have the indians not sell out after going 9-1 in their last 10 games and just sweeping the Detroit Tigers.

We are a half game back of having the best record in the American League, and the way boston has been playing I'm sure we will not only clinch the division this weekend at home against Oakland, I'm sure we will have the best record when the season ends.

there's 10 games left in the season. three more home games!

I've been told that cannons will be set up for saturday night's game and sunday's game in case we clinch saturday night. They will be filled with confetti and streamers, so that the celebration is that much sweeter when we bring a AL Central banner back where it belongs!

I've been put in charge to get the overhead shot...the infamous panorama. It's going to be a sweet weekend in downtown cleveland!!

Ivor,

Just remember one thing if the Indians draw 32,000 fans (like they did yesterday) the stands are usually packed with true baseball fans who live and die with every pitch. From personal experience when Browns Stadium is packed with 73,000 fans about two-thirds of them are just there for the party and an excuse to start drinking at 7 am. At most of the Browns games I have attended the "fans" are more interested in drinking and spilling beer, shouting obscenities and starting fights in the stands.

GO INDIANS!!!

October baseball in CLeveland. HOW SWEET! Unlike the teams of the 90's, with their high octane power in the batting order, this team is better designed for the post-season with quality starting pitchers at 1-3 and a bullpen that has shown the ability to shut it down. SHould be an interesting October.
