WASHINGTON – Democratic lawmakers moved Monday toward investigating Hunt Oil's oil exploration contract in Iraq, saying the company's ties to President Bush raised questions about whether it had insider information that helped it reach the deal.

Stephen you dispute every single fact in this war and if the fact that Bush's good friend is making an oil deal with the Kurds in the middle of a war is not enough than nothing is. It is disgusting and unethical beyond words, which sums up this administration. Well there are no nuclear weapons here but let's strike oil while the iron is hot! In the midst of war with one of three groups here!

and i have the philosophy of "texan oil man friend of bush up to no good" (I tried to sound like an Indian war chief there. If it smells funny...come on this is the most obvious of all things! Why is it that the top 1 and a half percent of the wealthiest people hold more wealth than the bottom 90%? There are things that are done to keep it that way. I am not saying this oil deal is that, but how can an American profit off of the blood of our soldiers? How do you justify that in any way!!! If I had heard the profits were going to pay down our new national debt or for soldiers' families I would think differently. But how anyone can read this deal is going to take place and not see the realities in it is so beyond me.

Companies that make Hummers, guns, bullets, food, jets, boots and etc for our soldiers are also profiting off of their blood. In fact, it could be argued that all of us profit off the blood of our soldiers.

Really how are you and I profiting exactly. Or the kids in Cleveland school that can't be properly educated or the people that can't get health care in America because there is not enough money. (Every human should have a right to health care and proper health care. We did not have the right to invade Iraq).) No I have no desire to research Hunt Oil. I am trying to get my license to teach disadvantaged kids. Remember I am a bleeding heart and proud of it. Go ahead and defend Bush and the Oil companies that he has ties with. It is all coming out in the wash. The sad brutal truth.

First off the only thing undermining the peace in Iraq is us being there in the first place. Seems to me like america is a one nation campaign to join the evil doers.
Second, what freedoms do I have today that I did not have before we invaded Iraq?

Don't forget little things like lobbyist, companies taking their factories to Mexico and other places to pay slave wages in horrible conditions. The real reason you republican party wanted clinton out was not because he was doing the "dirty nasty" as Senator Craig so eloquently stated (as he was doing his own bathroom stall dance) but because he really did want to find affordable healthy care for everyone and he did care about the "little people" like you and me. There are powerful people and companies that really really don't want those things and will go to any length to bring down people who want them. People who could take a little of their millions to make things better for millions of people. And now bush's friend are profiting with contract deals and now oil deals in iraq and you are ok with that. Did you see the PD article? Her husband was kidnapped because of their mixed marriage of two of the groups who will now fued over oil, yet hunt easily makes a deal with one of the groups. by the way i misspoke when i said bret changed his mind. to my dismay i read the rest of the article and he was talking about california. well there is more time for him. and for you. to see the truth. the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Bill Clinton was reelected after Hillarycare failed in 1994. Do I have to remind you what happened with the 1994 mid term elections?
