I'm finding it difficult to get any information on the candidates running for Lakewood Council. Can someone point me in the right direction? I live in Ward 2. As far as I could find with a quick Google search, only Tom Bullock has a web site.
Another question, is the primary on Oct. 2 the final vote or are we voting again in November? What exactly is a non-partisan primary anyway?
How to find Info on Council Candidates?

in Ward 2 there are three people running for council - Tom Bullock, Dan Shields, and Tom Gallagher. I would think there would be information about Dan Shields out there as well as Tom Gallagher. Have you received literature?
THe primary takes the number from three to two people. Then you vote in November for the one person who will be councilperson for ward 2.
A non-partisan primary is one where all the candidates for elected office run in the same primary regardless of political party.
Hope that helps.

Kristin, thanks for your interest.
Yes, I have an ever-improving website at http://tombullockforlakewood.com/ --a good amount of information there. You can also search the Lakewood Observer site for stories I've written over the past three years with the paper on economic development and community events.
Two key issues I've been working on: neighborhood safety and downtown development.
But since the bottom line is what's going on for you and whether you have issues you'd like to see addressed this year in Lakewood, I'd welcome the chance to speak you directly and hear what's on your mind. Feel free shoot me a note via a personal message on the Deck, or you're welcome to call me at 216-337-1318.
Sincerely,
Tom

Hi,
Tom visited your web site. Nice colors. But little info on where you stand on eminent domain abuse. Would Councilman Bullock vote for or against eminent domain for economic development?
Thanks,
Don
