It was weird seeing a game where the scores ran so high on both sides and it was close until the end.
Our section of the stadium was literally rocking and rolling and we became nervous that a standing wave had been set up and that we could all come crashing down on the lower deck.
But that game was a tonic for all Browns and Browns fans. I hope they can carry some confidence into Oakland.

What a difference a week makes! I hope that was not a fluke... DL did you watch the game?dl meckes wrote:I think it's generally a problem to start young quarterbacks right off the bat.
I'm not sure how it's the quarterback's problem when the pocket collapses or there is no protection.
I can't fault the quarterback for throwing to a receiver who can't catch the ball.
One player won't save the line.

I was there.
My voice has returned and so has reality. I'd like to see some D. The prevent approach obviously doesn't work. We have a team with talent. I hope we see it in more than one game, in more than fits and starts. I was still very happy to see that our QB could turn his head from side to side and release the ball. I could hardly believe that passes were caught.
We'll see what happens Sunday.
I still feel concern about that deck collapsing from a standing wave, but understand that we may not have too many of those...

No commentary from Browns fans after yesterday's game? I'm surprised. I know we're all gearing up for post-season baseball, but that was a pretty decent effort against a team we were not supposed to beat.
Sure, the fourth quarter was stupid ugly, but they finally got a lead to protect and both O & D showed up to play.
I was very sorry that Quinn did not get to take a few snaps at the end, it would have sent a positive message to the Ravens, but I guess they didn't want to mess with Anderson.
Unfortunately I don't think we're going to get two in a row, but I can see that happening this year.

Yesterday, a friend of ours attended her first Browns game. It was a great start of her career as a fan.
The only problem I saw (aside from that 4th quarter) was that fans are now habituated to leaving early. The stadium was half full at the end of the game.
Sure the game was decided, but it was a beautiful day and the Browns had a win. It was a good day to stick around.

Positive thoughts on the Browns: It's been a long time
After week four in the NFL, no one could have predicted the Browns would be 2-2 with wins against superbowl hopeful Cincinnati and last year's division winner, Ravens.
This is not a team built for the playoffs yet. However, we are seeing some pieces cemented. Let's hope they stay healthy. There is no need to rush Brady in right now. Let him learn the offense and understand what's going on without 350lb leg-breaking-lineman trying to kill him and talking bad about his mother.
We can say that the Browns have a chance to win on Sundays. When could we say that in recent past. Ok, maybe when we'd play the Raiders, but look how even that has changed this season.
all Rhetoric aside, Browns football is finally on the upswing.
Browns 30
Patriots 24
