You are ALL invited!Coach Jerry Gruss Fund Art Show, June 22

Post by Ivor Karabatkovic »

Observers;

I would like to invite you all to opening night of my very first Art Show.

Thanks to Phoenix Coffee, A Graphic Solution, the LO and The Lakewood High School Alumni Foundation, I am proud to host the Coach Jerry Gruss Fund Art Show on Friday June 22nd, 7pm at Phoenix Coffee. (15108 Detroit Ave)

100% of proceeds that will be made throughout the three day show (22nd, 23rd and 24th) will go back to the Jerry Gruss Fund which will be used towards the Baseball program at LHS. Donation boxes will be open, as well as 60 gorgeous photos, mostly never before seen, of this years great baseball season.

Although the Ranger season ended abruptly, we can still celebrate the 22-7 season lead by Coach Gruss, his coaching staff and the players.

I encourage you all to stop by the Phoenix one of the three days, support our loyal local business and witness this special event.

This is just the beginning of many great things to come for the Ranger Baseball Program.

I will be in attendance on opening night and will make visits throughout the day on Saturday the 23rd as well as Sunday the 24th. Snacks and drinks will be provided on opening night.

I hope to see you all there! Come and show your Lakewood Pride!

I'll probably miss Friday, but I'll definitely be there Saturday or Sunday.

Sounds like a great event.

Just got off the phone with Channel 3 WKYC. Hopefully they can make it out to the event.

Channel 8 news still hasn't gotten back to me!

Igor -

Thank you for doing this - I will stop by.

Want you all to know that the baseball program at LHS is responsible for my best friends son getting a full scholarship to a local college and offers from colleges all over the country after being scouted at LHS. He chose to stay in Cleveland to help his mom.

Obviously Coach Gruss knows what he's doing.

My friend is a single mother and her son never would have had the opportunity to continue his education without this program.

So far we have raised $839 to the cause and there's still one more day to contribute.

Even if I'm not there, orders can be placed for photos at the cash register. there's a receipt book and all that you need to do is list your name, address, a description of the photo and the price.

Or if you're donating, write your name and address and how much you are donating!

A lot of the funding came from generous donations, and a lot of the parents haven't been coming to buy photos which really surprises me. I figured it'd be the other way around!

Well I will be there around 10:30am and throughout the day. I hope to see everyone there, I will be there until 4pm.

Thank you to all that attended opening night and those that stopped by today! your contributions will make a big difference next spring!
