Lakewood High Choir

Post by Justine Cooper »

The choir at Lakewood High returned home safely last night after five days in NY and singing in Carnegie Hall!!!! They were also on the Early show and the reporter said "Best choir in the country, Lakewood High"!

The only choir in Ohio and this area invited to sing there!!!!!! :D

What a great group. The musicians at LHS do us proud. What a wonderful musical tradition. Those who focus on the negitive elements in the schools would do well to take in a concert.

The musicians and the teachers who lead them! We are blessed with amazing teachers here! They will never be reflected accurately with the "report cards" stemming from "no child left behind" but they are amazing and the reason we stayed in Lakewood!

You're preaching to the Choir. Fritz Schaufle, B. Neil Davis, Ron Lucien. Those were my Orchestra, choir and band directors. I don't things have fallen off. What they accomplish may not show up in the "achievement tests"...but ask anyone who has had the opportunity to experience these tremendous programs and there can be no question that those individuals have learned more than can be measured in a standardized test.
