Hell on Wheels

Post by Mike Deneen »

As (I hope) most of you know, I wrote a story in the latest edition of the Observer about the Burning River Roller Girls, a local roller derby league that is comprised largely of Lakewood women. Hopefully the online version will be up very soon.

The PD did a piece on them today...you can check out some video of their inaugural event. It was a packed house and everyone had a lot of fun.

I know the Cleveland Fusion used to practice in Lakewood and had a lot of Lakewood women on the team (probably still do).

I am trying to get a hold of the Fusion to do a story. However, they have not gotten back to me.
