The Lakewood Public Library is seeking memories from Lakewood residents and friends of the library as part of its major expansion. The library is currently undergoing a $16 million plan to renovate and expand the 90 year old facility from its current size of 55,000 square feet to 93,000 square feet. BE THE FIRST TO BE THE BEST GALA TO SUPPORT PUBLIC ART
The Lakewood Public Library Foundation is hosting a Gala to celebrate the 40,000 square foot expansion (the first of two phases) of the library. Gala guests will have the opportunity to get a preview of the library designed by renowned architect Robert A. M. Stern. The Gala will feature wonderful live music, a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Funds raised by the Gala will support public art both inside and outside the library.
