Furnace Replacement

I'm looking to replace the furnace in my new home. The existing one is in good shape, but it's about 40 years old and only 50% efficient.

I want to get something that won't kill me on gas bills in the winter and take advantage of the this years energy efficiency tax breaks.

I've got someone from Lakewood Furnace coming out for an estimate (they did my furnace "tune-up" this week and were great), but I wondered if anyone else had any other recommendations?

Brand new central A/C last summer, 40 year old furnace.

I know somebody who used Donnelly (sp?) recently for two furnaces (yes, two in their house) and they were very happy with them.

I plan to call them soon too for an estimate.

Bryan - Your request may be a moot point by now, but ...

I just replaced all three furnaces in my triple. Ouch.

I used a couple of companies to educate myself on furnaces and ended up going with William Donnelly - 521-7000. Very nice pilot-less two stage furnaces which use less gas in the 30's and up than when below 20 or so. These units also offer a 10-year warranty on parts and labor (normal hour rate) for an extra $200.
