And not to get off subject, but I am tired of reading how Cleveland Police have to go on trial for shooting someone because they are young-when the person they shot wanted to be a "man" and use violence and threaten the cops lives! This last one is an honored man with a list of volunteer record and he had to go on trial for shooting a boy who tried to run him over! If anyone was charged with a crime it should have been the parents!!!!! The absent parents who now want "justice"! Makes no sense. if they really knew what justice looked like, they wouldn't like the reflection!

Agreed. The Cleveland Police are not given their due applause, in my opinion. They see and do things that the bulk of suburbanites would not believe, and they do it on a daily basis. A great hello to Andy Gonzales, now a Cmdr I believe, Nate Oliver, great guy who was on COPS several times, Joey Lonitro who had to quit when he was thrown over 30 feet when hit by a pickup while standing out of the way on a stop, and all the guys and gals downtown in the "units" who took us into their fold, along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd districts. Many more that we don't name for their security sake.

Regarding "New Thought". It was asked of me, just a few days ago, where to look for more information in areas of New Thought that I felt were useful.

Here are some links, that will get you off to a flying start:

http://www.unity.org/5principles.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_and_Grow_Rich

Point, "Think and Grow Rich" was published in, I believe, 1937, and you can probably name a few people who are currantly taking credit (and making millions) for a tweaked version of what is in this book by Napolean Hill. Great book btw.

Enjoy.

It was asked of me in private messages regarding having a study group.

To answer some questions at once:

I propose a study group to explore and exchange concepts, along with a small presentation of my "Thoughts are Things". We'll combine our mental focus and accomplish great things. This is a Christian approach, but not a religion. It is a way to align the mind with the Universe, the Whole, the parts, (each other) and as Jesus said, to paraphrase, "When two or more meet in my name, I shall be there."

We'll combine our mental energy, for our common good, and establish
that which is only good in our lives.

If your interested, private message me, or post it here.
I have studied more than I care to list, since 1974 and am willing to share.

Whatever beliefs you now hold, won't be tread on, but added to.
I'll guide us all to kick a few doors open and then it's up to everyone to decide to walk through and leave that which we do not care to hold on to in the past, and venture into the good that God has for us, just by our acceptance, or stay in the currant "room" and not walk through the door of "enlightenment" and continue on a path of "chance".

In this, we have choice.

In some searching through some of the "newer" New Thought areas, I've found that while I do not personally subscribe to only one source, philosophically, it seems that Ernest Holmes, in his book Science of Mind found the "roots" of all "logic and science meets philosophy/religions".
All the rest of the so called "new" areas can be found in the original book by Ernest Holmes. Even he was influenced by many thinkers of the past, Quimby, Troward, Emerson and many more. He distilled their paths to find a single common denominator. This is why almost everyone is comfortable when discussing Religious Science since as a whole it embraces anything that leads to the truth, as apposed to disciplines that cut certain portions out of various other disciplines so that their path leads to their goals, irregardless of the truth.

What defines truth? Cause and effect. Karmic Law etc. We do something, and there is a result of what we did. We think something and there is a result of what we thought. Our choice is what direction do we want?

Regarding all the religions and philosophies in the world, when you boil it down to basics, it's there in the book (Science of Mind) since there is only one truth, and eventually we all arrive at truth, irregardless of the terminology belonging to one discipline or another. Take the basics of eastern thought, or Christianity, or any thinking and they all arrive at a "truth".

Again I remind that Science of Mind, aka Religious Science, Unity and many other "New Thought" disciplines or philosophies are non-denominational. They are modes of thinking to enhance that which you may believe in, to help achieve goals.
