Sliming?

Post by Mark Crnolatas »

I've seen public service announcements regarding "sliming" in schools ( I would assume high school but maybe younger). Does anyone know if this goes on in our schools? I was wondering if it was a regional thing or was it common, and known to be done in our schools.

By the way, sliming is the use of leaches for fun, for those that do not know what it is.

That's not a real issue. The commercial is an anti-drug commercial, it's a spoof.

They play the commercial like it's a real issue, using leaches, etc which kids would think is ridiculous and then end the commercial basically saying, why would you do drugs just because someone else is doing it.

Made me smile this morning.

Your post was like the TV ads for news.

"Kids making bombs in their basement. Tune in at 11 and you can see how easy it is to find out how to do it on the internet."

"Do our kids slime?"

"If not it is using leeches..."

Funny stuff.

Sliming?

FWIW, we already do dress code and ID compliance checks every morning at LHS when the kids come in to school. So far, thankfully, we've never have to ask, "Oh by the way, are there any leeches in your pocket?"

We'll be on the lookout :-)

I'm a musician, and while I've had various other interests, and a couple businesses, I've always basically been a musician, playing any style of music you can imagine and some no one can imagine.

While on the road, I was amazed at what people would put in various orifices for "fun", so when I saw the leach thing, I thought it was "for real".

:D   8)
