Over the years, as the flag out front on the flag pole deteriorates, I've replaced about a dozen. It's about that time again. I properly fold the old one, put it in the box from the new one, and it ends up on a basement shelf, with its other retired counterparts.
It's only proper that they all be retired properly and I hoped someone knew of a Boy Scout Troop, VFW Post who will be having a flag retirement ceremony in the near future, with contact info sao I can get all these tattered Old Glories properly put to rest.

Jeff, I'm sure any VFW would accept them asap, and take care of them with the honor that the members understand.
A short phone call to any post would take care of it, I'm sure, as well as the Coast Guard station downtown Cleveland.
