New Moon in Aquarius
Whether you believe in astrology or not, this is very interesting about the new moon in light of everything going on.
The Moon symbolizes one's relationship to the inner life, emotions, and deep personal needs. Aquarius tends to set aside personal needs and feelings, focusing more on the emotional needs of the group. With so many planets in the transpersonal signs of Aquarius and Pisces, this New Moon will require a bit of work to reach deep down and connect with change on a personal level. Often it is the fear of facing our inner pain, sadness and disappointment that prevents change. The retrograde movement of Saturn in Leo can help draw the awareness deep into our complexes around love, authority, personal limitation, and creativity. The yod from Saturn to Mars in Capricorn and Venus in Pisces will call each of us to a high level of seriousness. Mars in Capricorn and Saturn in Leo are harsh taskmasters when it comes to being responsible for maintaining passion when our talents go unrecognized. Venus in Pisces is a directive to dive deep into the pulsating heart of the universe to find the cosmic connection to all things, and return renewed, ready to selflessly give of ourselves.

While this would explain many of the dynamics in play right now on the Observation Deck. Would this effect it across the board without regard to each person's birth sign?
We are adding many things to this Observer Project in the coming days and months. I have a feeling you will enjoy some.

Ms. Cooper:
Thank for for the post and all the evocative analogical power such an interpretation might provide us for the energies, times and lives interpenetrating here in Lakewood.
Mike, in an effort to "let the sun shine in," I'll say on my natal chart my Moon is in Aquarius in the 8th House, and Venus is in Pisces in the 10th House.
Sun in Capricorn in the 8th house.

New Moon in Aquarius
Jim, from what I understand, this new moon in Aquarius effects us all, all signs! I just found this fascinating (thank you Kathy from Goddess Blessed). I hope you read the whole interpretation! If not, the first part:
This is the New Moon for radical change. Aquarius is often thought of as visionary: an energy that looks beyond the norm, questions accepted truths, boldly claims originality, flies in the face of reason; and flatly refuses to blindly follow the dictates of others. And oh, if you are like me, (always ready to dive deeply into Aquarian and Piscean energy) you will be very happy on this New Moon with its Chiron/Sun/Moon/Neptune conjunction in utopian Aquarius, and a Mercury/Uranus/North Node/Venus conjunction in transcendent Pisces. A mind-blowing line-up such as this is not to be wasted; even with a dour retrograde Saturn in Leo and stilted Mars in Capricorn telling us otherwise. If there was ever was a time to transcend old thinking (Pisces) and awaken into new ideas (Aquarius) this is it....
"...Really it all comes down to our attitude toward change, and this is the New Moon to throw out the old and bring in the new! This is the time to seek and destroy worn out modes of thinking. The Aquarius New Moon asks each of us to awaken to the reality of our lives. To see it as it truly is (no rose colored glasses allowed) and then envision a better life; one free of old rules and restrictions that reflect your "I can'ts, I won'ts, I'm unable, and I'm scared." This is a truth or dare New Moon. Recognize your present circumstances and then dare to vision beyond them, past the boundaries of the known into the unknown..."
We are also supposed to write down all of our desires during the new moon and by the full moon, some should manifest! Let's try it! Starting with our great city! Collective Consciousness is what moves things, right? (that and the lobbyists that pay politicians).
Ken, I heard you had read enough to write books on astrology, what is your take in this new moon in Aquarius? I am sure ready for some change!

I am no particular expert in lunation astrology, much less equipped to draw down the orb of night. Yet the happy announcement of Moon in Aquarius on the LO Deck at the time of the Jim O’Bryan Electric Monkey Trial creates an opportunity for me to remind advisory board members that another pope, Gregory XIII, once claimed with the great Cardan to speak with lunar beings. Insofar as loony claims have been made by a Pope of Rome, I would forebear a similar indulgence to the Pope of the Wood.

Kenneth Warren wrote:As DL notes, "Sometimes "constructive dialogue" is fun and sometimes it ends in tears." That weeping and gnashing of teeth comes from Saturn's chilly reception, exalted in our esteemed Libran Pope, who is ruled by Venus.
The astrological meaning I would propose to read into this weekend’s deliberation is that the lack of emotional response to the complaint Mr. Juris has made about Jim O’Bryan’s impact on the LO project is written in starry script.
