Accident Bunts and Madison, police car versus Hyundai

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

In wet slippery conditions, a Lakewood Police car collided with a Hyundai driven by Neven Steindam from Island Software.

The accident happened around 8:00pm as Nerven was headed North on Bunts. He said he was sitting at the light and it turned green. "It seemed like he came out of no where." said Neven while looking for his cell phone. "The light change and suddenly there were flashing lights and sirens."

After lending him a cell phone so that he could call his phone to find it, I asked, "How are you feeling? Was anyone hurt?" Neven crawling out of his wrecked car with a ringing cell phone and said, "Luckily no one got hurt, I feel OK."

Hopefully, those involved in this mishap are OK. On a more spooky note, did you all see those litle round orbs floating around in the photos? Orbs, at least to some, represent ghosts of the departed. Tales of these things abound on the internet. The Winchester House orbs in California are perhaps the best known. A story is told that a Winchester heiress widow designed this strange mansion for the benefit of the ghosts of those killed by Winchester rifles.

Of course, being intellegent, questioning modern-day individuals, we would never think of orbs in Lakewood happening to be around a possiblly near-death experience.

Would we?

Once in a conversation with Mary Ann, the paranormal investigator, I learned that she feels Lakewood is loaded with earth-bound spirits and that since the 30s the city has been known in psychic circles as something of a hotspot, amenable to practitioners of the craft.

They appear to be water droplets on the camera lens and the glares of falling snowflakes.

You are all correct, sort of.

The little circles of the wet earth bound ghosts of pixies.*

I had just purchased an 8 mega pixie camera and tried it out on ghost setting.

As you can see, I got more mega pixies than I bargained for.

Hard to fool you guys.

*No earthbound wet ghost pixies were harmed in the filming of this. The same could be said for the police and other driver.

Orbs

Ah, but aren't those pixels rectangular shaped, Jim, my man?

How indeed, does one get round orbs from square pixel holes?

Of course, there are those who say that these little roundels are only multiples of a cameras aperture, or perhaps reflections of light.

And if there is no light? And very few camera apertures are round. Most are hexagonal, I believe.

But not all cameras have round apertures. And not all orbs are reflections of light.

Once I shot pictures of the Koshares, a dance group that replicated the Ghost Dance of Native American heritage. When I got home, I saw that orbs proliferated during the dance, particularly at the dance's highlighted moment. (when all was darkened)

But perhaps, again, the Lakewood accident shots were only pixel problems.

But what about all those orb photos before pixels existed?

For those who dream, all is possible. Scientists say that it's impossible to destroy energy; only to transform it. When we fizzle out here on earth, our body remains, but what of the energy that made up our life? Where does it go?

Into ORB-it? You may laugh, but you will do so nervously.

Music cue here "Orb-angel, Orb-angel! Will you be..."

OK I'll stop :-)

Those orbs / pixies knocked out this thread this morning.

Gary

Those are not jazz pixies, so they tend to be square.
