Lakewood's SNAP $50,000 after the face program

Post by Richard Baker »

Just great, the City of Socialist Lakewood, announced it’s handing out first come, first serve a thousand $50 “SNAP” unrestricted Aldi’s gift cards for wine, soft drinks, junk food, etc. Incredibly, it was published just after a few Democrat Senators voted across the aisle and approved funding the government so SNAP could resume feeding those on their economic slavery for votes welfare program.

Lakewood children are drinking from lead water lines, streets are falling apart, the under ground infrastructure is beyond repair and requires replacing, so what’s $50,000 here or $50,000 there. When can we expect the socialist city council’s agenda to include rent control, free public transportation, city run grocery stores where food will be sold at cost, social services responding to none violent police calls, and becoming a sanctuary city?

The Democrat’s absolute majority of socialism council passed a Gender Freedom Policy, “deprioritizes enforcement anti-transgender laws” this fall. Ohio statues require a city to enforce state laws. However, home rule allows cities to pass local laws that don’t conflict with state laws. This “policy” is in direct conflict with any state “anti-transgender” law, which laws, if any, the city failed to mention. The deception was to fund, at additional expense, the city’s health insurance premium to provide gender affirming care for employees, and the council since they're under the city’s insurance coverage. Why, couldn't they simply include the coverage without all their fake righteous propaganda?

It will be a rude awaking when there is no property tax for their socialist’s agenda, ballooning bureaucracy and waste. The Stark County voters approved by 68 percent, limiting property tax increase to 3 percent. This should be wake call for the council that the days of wine and roses is coming to end. Renters will be informed the rent will decrease significantly thus the bulk will be single voters who will approve it. The good news it will force the state that direct lotto revenues into the general fund, to be redirect to the public schools as voters intended.

As we approach the season of giving known to many as Christmas, I must encourage you to watch this classic film:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044008/

----You might want to take a moment to study the character of Ebeneezer Scrooge and its flaws.

42 million citizens are at risk of hunger now as a result of a mindset that you seem to articulate in your post--a mindset also apparently reflected in the majority of justices on the U.S. Supreme Court.

More or less -- "Let them eat nothing"

Are you so wealthy, that you can afford to distain those who participate in our economy at a lesser level of success?
