Good Times, Good Food, LCSC's A La Cart

Yesterday I had a chance to stop by Cove Community Center for Lakewood Community Services Center A La Cart Series. Good tasting fun!

For those not familiar with the LCSC A La Cart Series, they invite local chefs, cooks, bakers and foodies to come in and demonstrate some of their favorite recipes in an easy to follow lesson and discussion. With the help and backing of Three Arches, they have come up with a real winner, that usually fills up fast. Not just people looking to expand their horizons, but also to taste some great food and meet the stars of Lakewood’s legendary food scene.

On this day it was by Ruth Kostadinov, from Gingham Market and Gatherings Kitchen. Two of the most unique and delicious restaurants and food store.

The set-up for the series puts people close to the action with large screens showing the cooking in detail for all.

A La Cart series usually happens on Tuesday at 2pm. There is plenty of parking at the Cove Community Center, but the place fills up quickly, so it does pay to get there early. Not only can you get a good seat, though ever seat is good with all the LIVE TV screens. But you can talk with the stars, and make friends.

Next month it is Karen Bosworth from KB Confections, who is well known for making some of the best cakes and taste treats in town. That will be Tuesday, December 10, at 2PM.

See you there.
