Always one of our favorite issues of the year, this is the one that celebrates Lakewood’s graduating students.

We all celebrate many of the groups helping students with scholarships and programs, including one of my favorites, the Lakewood Kiwanis. Lakewood Kiwanis has given more than $3,000,000.00 to Lakewood students since their program started. This year 15 students were awarded checks for $5,000-$10,000 dollars, some of them multi-year!
We also welcome back one of our original writers/members that moved away and recently returned, Vincent O’Keefe, who jumps back into the paper with a great story about Michael Daso, and his quest to walk every street in Lakewood. A good read, about a great project.
We also look at all the great things going on in and around Lakewood.
