Aurora Borealis, aka the Northern Lights

Every park along the lake, or for that matter, anywhere was filled with people sharing the experiences of the Northern Lights.

We stopped at many places along the lake to get a good look.

Ten second exposure. You can see the lights of Detroit Michigan on the bottom!

The reds were hardest to capture. To the naked eye they appeared almost burgundy.

Another great shared experience brought to us by our friend, the Sun.

The solar storm hit a level 5 yesterday, and this should be visible all weekend, except we have rain all weekend.

Expect disruption in electronic devices this weekend.
