This exercise in stacking the deck has gone on for decades.
Probably 15+ years ago I wrote a ranking for the Free Times that considered Walkscore walkability ratings, a transit study, some value-added score for schools, percent increase on home value, diversity, and other factors. Results were very different, of course, from Cleveland Magazine's celebration of sprawl.
