Perhaps you have some examples of Dan's over the top behavior to keep Council White and Male?

Mr. O'Bryan, my post was three sentences long and you mischaracterized it twice. I never said "over the top behavior" and I never said "white and male". (But since you opened the door - 6 out of 7 members on Lakewood's all white Council are white males.)
In answer to your question.
Two city council elections.
Dan O'Malley endorsed exclusively white people.
Two appointments for city council seats - made by city council, of which Dan O'Malley is president.
Two white people appointed.
(for more details on this, see another conversation on The Deck under the heading 'Council President Dan O'Malley'.)
Dan O'Malley's insistence that Lakewood City Council remain an all white club is disgraceful. He had multiple opportunities to create change and inclusion. Instead he chose to back the all white status quo.
O'Malley and his support of systemic racism may be good for your Lakewood, but not mine.
Wherever Dan O'Malley lands, I hope that organization has a strong Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
