Post by Jim O'Bryan »

All afternoon the area was being threatened with storms, and every no and then one would break through. The Suddenly the clouds turned black the winds cranked up the the heavens let loose.

A combination of wind gust up to 80mph according to the Weather Service, trees came down, then wires came down, then streets close. Through it all Lakewood Police and Fire do a great job. Clearing roads and railroad tracks, locating downed wires, and making sure we are safe.

In the high winds, this squirrel hugged the back of a tree vertically with some bread, just in case.

This morning we had 5 Council signs and 3 Judge signs in the front yard. After the storm, only one left Keith Davey, the only candidate to quote Proverbs from the Bible. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Everyone since this was being posted another 6 trees down, wires down all over the city, stay in stay safe.

Thanks again Lakewood Police and Fire on what has been a very busy, but very successful day.
