Up In The Sky Right Now! Sun In Smoke

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

This afternoon the smoke from the fires all over the WEst Coast made it to our skies. The immediate effect was the particles both blocking the sun rays so you could look directly at it. But also a reddish hue that will increase over the days and after the sun goes down.

There are no clouds in this photo, all smoke particle.

Stay tuned more coming!

Does this layer of ash particles this far east represent a threat to people with respiratory or lung problems, or even Coronavirus. It seems like a variant of smog in that regard. Has anyone seen any reports? A quickee search didn't bring up anything. Maybe another reason to wear a good quality mask - not a single-layer cloth mask - until it gets clearer, or cooler as the Big Fool predicts.
